Invert Mini Paintball Gun - Polished Red/Grey Special Edition-Fast, light, tight, and. But more impressive than the size and feel, the Invert MINI Paintball.
Used this marker on the first weekend that I received it. It is truly awesome.
The tank mounts directly to the ASA without a hose to worry about. Comes ready to shoot 20bps right out of the box on semi auto mode.
Eyes work great. Have a Dye Rotor hooked up to this and I didn't chop a single ball through an entire day out and an extra bag of paint shot in the back yard, (around 2000 balls). The features are pretty extensive, many different firing modes and speeds. Stock parts are great as well, no need to upgrade the barrel unless you are looking for extreme performance.
I always used to buy barrels as upgrades to my markers as the first part to replace, however this marker doesn't need it at all. I was on the fence on weather to buy this or the Smart Parts Ion.
Invert Mini Parts
Even though I did not get a chance to fairly compare the Ion vs the Mini I do not regret my purchase at all. If you are looking for a mid to semi high level gun for fun or entry level tournaments I would totally recommend this marker.
I took a long break from paintball and I knew the type of gun I wanted. A competitive, trustworthy, low-mid range electronic marker under $400. Several good points ab the Mini: It's an Empire product so it should be reliable - I personally love the compact design - The magnetic trigger is awesome and easily adjustable - The eye is great. Not one chopped ball and full-auto has never been a problem so far - There a lot of firing modes, but I use semi 99% of the time. The only thing that bugged me about the gun right out of the box is the 12' barrel. While not the worst, it needs to be replaced.
I ordered a Raptor Tactical Rifled Barrel after playing two days with the factory barrel. Overall, this gun is great for the reasons I listed above and also it is very simple to take apart and uses a lot less O-rings than most markers. I'm very satisfied with mine.:-D.
In depth review is following: Pros: Extremely competitive marker Low pressure means more efficiency and less air use. Great ASA - haven't experienced any hot shots using an 800 psi tank, even while rapidly firing. Easily does 15 bps in semi-auto tournament cap mode.
Lightweight - 1.99lbs with everything but the hopper and tank Compact Low price tag Dependable and reliable The stock barrel isn't garbage. The trigger is extremely adjustable.
A lot of lower end guns have a noticeable kickback. This does not. Goes with the efficiency deal.
The markers you're comparing this to are likely 800psi markers, which will rock your hands and create inaccurate shots in succession. You won't get much of that with this marker. Never chops paint. It has a great set of eyes in it. Cons: I don't like the stock trigger- it's a personal preference This isn't the type of gun that you wrap your hand around the fore grip with. You basically pressure balance the gun between each hand.
After a little usage, I've found it comfortable. Going from any tipmann or spyder (which are larger sized guns) it will feel uncomfortable at first. The barrel does need replaced. I know I said it wasn't garbage. It's probably the best stock barrel I've gotten on a gun, but it is also the only gun I've paid over 200 for.
The electronics are grudgingly simple. There is only one external button for the gun, and that's an on/off switch. To program the gun or to switch firing modes, you have to access the board. It's one screw, but I feel like they could've given it a couple extra buttons without breaking the bank.
Mini Special Editions
The one red/green light on the backside of the foregrip is your only feedback. You'll have to look at the manual for the light signal translations.
They could have added a display without breaking the bank as well. Conclusion: Great mid-high end marker for the price. I'm giving it a 5 because despite the cons, they're all nit-picky crap compared to what you're getting. You're getting a marker that can excel past 20bps out of the box, accurately and efficiently in a manner that is top-line esque.
This is the kind of gun that you won't be noticeably out classed in the marker category with if you intend to do local/semi-pro tournaments. The differences between this gun and a 1200 dollar gun are not even legitimate unless you're getting payed to play, or on the verge to do so. If you want high-end and low price, buy this gun.
